From its vast collections of custom instruments to your own custom sample tweakology, Kontakt brings a powerful set of tools to the sonic table. In this introductory course you learn how to harness Kontakt’s basic sampling power and get up and producing fast. Matt takes you through all the basics from setup to MIDI control and everything in between. At first glance, Kontakt’s user interface (UI) can seem seem a bit daunting! But all of those UI mysteries will be quickly solved as Matt systematically explains what they do and how they work together. From there you get a detailed look at Kontakt’s instruments, mixer, built-in effects and MIDI implementation.
Sampling is mostly about recreating sounds from the real world. That’s why, in the next section, you learn all about keyswitching and how all those mapped articulations will help you add realism and believability to your tracks.
