Coral 2 includes an equalizer, compressor, elliptical filter and preamp module –
plus the powerful new M/S Baxandall EQ to bring your masters’ tone to perfection.
Peculiarities :
Transparent and 3D:
The Coral 2 is an extremely transparent processor thanks to its smooth and wide EQ curves and the uniquely forgiving behavior of its dynamics section. It is noteworthy that the compressor applies a super-soft clipping layer to the signal; This soft and musical application saves transients from harsh clipping.
M/S Bax EQ – Take Back Control:
We took inspiration from the classic 1950s Baxandall shelving curves and created a unique, powerful and smooth EQ designed for “finish EQ.” The added M/S features make this EQ ideal for tracking, mixing and mastering, as well as an excellent master bus EQ.
Elliptical filter:
The elliptical filter is a crossover filter followed by a stereo control; it changes the stereo width of the incoming signal below a user-specified frequency. The cutoff frequency can be selected from 20 step values ranging from 40 to 360 Hz.
Preamp Module:
The Coral preamp module includes 3 different “flavors” to choose from: Air, Tape and Coral. You can use them in dual mono mode (a “perfect” preamp, completely identical for both channels) or in stereo mode (a preamp containing minor differences between the left and right channels, just like a preamp in the hardware area).
