Description:
Cola is an emulation of the rare 1972 vintage British console that was used to create
immortal sounds of cult albums AC/DC, Queen, Clash, Sex Pistols and many others.
Our plugin perfectly captures the essence and behavior of this analog beast: a fully discrete console
Class A audio with master-class induction EQ on every channel, delivering smooth, airy sound with big, tight bass.
Cola 2 C-228
Exact emulation of one of the best remote controls released by the famous British company. Founded in 1968, for decades its name has been synonymous with excellence in the worlds of recording, touring and theatre.
Cola 2 C-415
Inspired by the 1950s-60s British valve mic amplifier/mixer regularly used by producer Joe Meek, to which we’ve added an entire authentic collection of vintage preamps, an accurate low-frequency loop-through circuit, and mid and high-frequency EQ sections. We took inspiration from its big brother, the 4M/15W. These devices have achieved something of a cult status in the vintage recording world, having been used on countless legendary recordings from the ’50s and ’60s, as well as famous film productions.
Cola 2 C-1671
A 9-band graphic equalizer based on a rare discrete germanium equalizer produced in the UK in the early 1960s. This high-quality semiconductor device used germanium transistors and even included a remote control. This device was an integral part of the extra equipment of many recording studios in the 60s and 70s and was used to shape the sound of many iconic musical works. As engineer Neil Kernon (Elton John, David Bowie, Yes) recalls: “We had whole racks of these equalizers in those days!”
Cola 2 C-505
A versatile limiter/compressor with distinctive controls typical of original British discrete transistor equipment, which is well known for adding punch to individual tracks and buses. The hardware for this compressor is incredibly rare. In fact, we suspect there were only 4 of them ever made, and they were custom made for the historic PYE recording studio in London. It uses Marinair transformers for inputs and outputs, an S7C transformer, a mix of discrete Class A transistors, and some of the first Opamps ever developed. Like the hardware that inspired it, this plugin is a monster on the drums. Cola 2: Update (Release G011)
