In Affinity Photo, Jermy Hazel will create 3 popular ads using the Affinity Photo software, as well as 3 separate thumbnails for YouTube….an important skill for any creator using this software. Finally, we’ll create a full movie poster using custom brushes… so you’ll learn everything you need to know to create a poster.
In Affinity Designer, Lindsay Marsh will master all the basic tools and work on a fun downloadable tracing worksheet so you can master that Pen Tool, Shapes Tool, and create a series of icons in the very first hour! We then create a bright and colorful logo design by working with typography and learning how gradients work. Next, we’ll focus on layout design when creating the front and back of a business card. Want to create a cool poster made only of fonts? We’ll do this and learn how to work with layers and textures. Finally, we’ll create a practical tri-fold brochure and learn how to prepare and export files for printing.
There’s even a section where you’ll explore the Pixel Character option in Affinity Designer and create brushes that will help you create a full-fledged sci-fi space scene that you’d find in a professionally illustrated children’s book.
In Affinity Publisher, Lindsey Marsh teaches you a wide range of tools such as master pages, character styles, photo frames, and how to work with large blocks of text and content to create a beautifully designed cookbook front cover and multiple inside spreads. We’ll talk about exporting both digital and printed files.
Finally, Jeremy Hazel will talk about Affinity’s Designer and Photo mobile apps, where you’ll create a complete T-shirt mockup for use across multiple projects. We’ll show you how to create a digital illustration in both vector and pixel art. In photography, we will take 6 photos and create a cohesive thematic portfolio to post and display on Instagram from his recent trip to Chicago and Milwaukee.
