Description:
Archimatix is a powerful node-based parametric modeling extension for Unity that helps you quickly create mutable objects and diverse environments.
Archimatix comes with many ready-to-play model examples with interactive pens that allow you to control the shapes in real time. For example, you can drag the handle to the length of the included Villa Apresto and additional columns and arches will be automatically added to the model.

You can also collapse your own parametric objects that are specific to your art direction. Archimatix has a node graph editor that puts the power of modeling logic right at your fingertips. No coding required!

That being said, Archimatix also provides a simple turtle-based scripting environment to allow coders to define custom parametric shapes using scene handles and the C# API to develop custom nodes.

Archimatix’s key offering for artists is its rich 2D shape operations such as 2D Boolean, offset, round and thicken. The resulting compound shapes can be used to create complex meshes as well as paths for distributing objects.

Archimatix Pro now offers runtime features so you can spread the magic of Archimatix to your players. In-game options allow your players to change levels on the fly and reshape models to unleash their creativity, providing many opportunities to encourage in-app purchases. Learn more about the Archimatix runtime: http://bit.ly/axruntime and see a demo of WebGL runtime options at demos.archimatix.com/SpaceshipShop

• Prefabricated creation

The goal of parametric modeling with Archimatix is to create “smart models” – models capable of generating hundreds of unique shapes and typologies. The faces and vertices of these models are not directly editable as they would be in a polygonal model. Instead, the meshes are non-destructively generated from the logic described by the model node graphs.
Although Archimatix is not a polygon modeller, the default meshes generated by Archimatix can be carried over to ProBuilder, Megafiers and other packages that will further modify and customize your models.

Archimatix has been compared to standalone parametric modeling applications such as Houdini and Grasshopper in Rhino. Although Archimatix is not yet as fully featured as these more mature parametric modellers, it is easier to learn and more accurate in modeling architectural game environments. Archimatix also offers the benefits of creating environments right in the Unity editor for recurring rapid prototyping and testing cycles.

Archimatix does not currently support true CSG operations such as 3D Booleans.

Archimatix can make city distributions, but in the current release it’s not yet a true generator city.
