Some terminology/labels I’m kinda behind on…….. first, it’d be cool to find a site/video channel where each style is exemplified……. i.e. trap, house, techno, etc.
Both my feet are still clinging to pieces and parts of the 70’s…….. certain styles have changed dramatically since; “ambient” and “trance” denoted sequences/arpeggios/LFO patterns over pads…… wonderful stuff to drift in and with at 4 AM while still ascending from that Vitamin “LSD” ya’d taken at midnight. Recent styles with those labels is MUCH different; suffice it to say it’s difficult to find a trance effect in styles labeled as such. I see shiploads of “house”, “drum n’ bass”, and “trap” style materials, indicating the direction of the industry. Would be useful to hear best examples of each 🙂
It was actually the term “movement” above that prompted this reply; is that referring to movement in the stereo field or does it refer to morphing tones?
