Description: This pack contains the powerful drum breaks that laid the foundation for the golden era of hip-hop. Amon Drum and Sean “Tricky” Dixon of the Analog Players Society recorded deep pocket breaks inspired by drummers such as James Gadson and samples used by artists such as DJ Premier, DJ Shadow, The Bomb Squad and Pete Rock.
They then added raw piano loops and electric bass lines, as well as The Bridge Studio’s secret analog synthesizer, making these sounds truly unique. Many of the sounds in this pack have been layered with analog effects and tape delays, recreating elements of classic 1970s soul music influenced by James Brown.
