Text instructions :
1. Unzip the downloaded archive to a folder with the shortest path from the root of the drive (you can unzip it to the desktop).
2. Launch DaVinci Resolve and open the project you want to apply these transitions to.
3. Check your project’s FPS in the menu: File – Project Settings (Shift+9). Let’s say it’s 25 fps.
4. Launch the Project Manager: File – Project Manager (Shift+1). RIGHT-click in the window and select “Dynamic Projects Switching”.
5. Next, in the same Project Manager window, RIGHT-click and import a project with transitions, where the FPS matches the FPS of your project (in our example, it’s 25 fps and the transition file is: 25fps_davinci_transitions.drp).
6. In the Project Manager window, open the project with transitions “25fps_davinci_transitions”, while keeping your current working project.
7. In the “Media Pool” media library, we see that the “Preview” files are unavailable. Re-index these unavailable files by RIGHT-clicking on “Preview” and selecting “Relink Clips for Selected Bin…” from the context menu.
8. A browse window will open, where you need to specify the Previews\ folder, which is located next to the transition projects folder. After specifying the folder, indexing will start, and upon completion, all clips in the Previews media pool will be available. 9.
Now select ALL folders in the “Media Pool” media library and copy them using the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+C (or the menu: File-Copy).
10. Next, go to our working project by switching to the top menu (above the preview window) and paste all the previously copied transition folders into our media pool’s library using Ctrl+V (or File-Paste).
11. Now we can apply transitions within your working project. To do this, simply select the desired transition and drag it to the timeline where you want the transition to be, over the main video track.
12. We’re almost done; all that’s left is to delete the example video from the transition we applied. To do this, right-click the transition in the timeline and select “Decompose in Place.” The clip will be split into the effect and the video. Select and delete the video using the DEL key.
