We are pleased to introduce Chalumeau , our new Book Series product featuring True Legato articulation and a unique warm folk sound.
The chalumeau is a single-reed woodwind instrument of the medieval, baroque, and early classical periods. It is considered the predecessor of the modern clarinet.
The instrument we used was handcrafted by the great flute maker Max Bruemmerg from cherry wood. We sampled legato vibrato, staccato and over 50 phrases.

The recording
The library was recorded at Rocchi Studios in Rome with top end microphones, in collaboration with the Saint Louis College of Music.
This library comes with two microphone positions: Close and Room.
Close/room mix
The library provides also all the fine-sampling techniques, like round robin, dynamic modwheel and vertical layering.
Book Series
Book Series is a new series of rare instruments with unique textures. Book Series comes with a thoughtful user interface designed for easy sound control. The engine contains 18 creative layers created using organic elements and analog synthesizers, over 20 spatial impulse responses and formant control.
