Description : Evolution Flatwound Bass is a classic electric P-style bass, equipped with flat-wrapped strings for a deep rich tone.
We developed the library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most respected recording studios. Guy Randle, the owner and recording engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, used analog audio equipment to skillfully shape and emphasize the rich tonal qualities of the bass, available as an extended signal to complement the post-recording signal.
Guy Randle invited veteran bassist Rob Honey to sample. As a session player, Rob Honey appeared on a large number of CDs, movie soundtracks, and television commercials and programs. He has toured with Donnie and Marie’s shows and is the bassist for Enoch Train. Rob is also an experienced arranger and songwriter. He was a full-time songwriter at the Starstruck Writer Group, the publishing company Reba McEntire. He had songs recorded by Diamond Rio, Faith Hill, and many of the artists on the LDS market. His song “Norma Jean Riley” became the number one hit and country song of the year Radio & Record.
