Description: The most complete virtual library of Yamaha SY-99 samples.
Absolutely closest to the sound of SY99. We sample all waveforms including drum kits as well as sample all factory presets. You will be able to create many of your AWM-based presets and have the absolute joy of reusing all of the factory presets.
The TGX-99 is a Yamaha SY-99 / TG-77 virtual instrument sample library based on the Pure Synth Platinum platform. In keeping with the amazing PSP structure, we have included ALL raw signal samples from real equipment. You get 4 oscillators in which you can combine waveforms, as well as two filters and two LFOs per oscillator. The arcade signal and gate can be global or for each oscillator, as well as global effects for each oscillator, depending on the template you choose. In many ways, the TGX-99 competes with real hardware due to the added modulation sources, quantity and quality of effects, and more polyphony. The purpose of the TGX-99 is to actually give you the feel of real equipment.
Since the SY99 contained one of the most sophisticated and advanced FM engines (AFM and RCM) among Yamaha keyboards, we could not reproduce this. Nobody really can. So to compensate, we’ve included recreating the original 128 factory presets from real hardware using sampling, synthesis, and sophisticated UVI scripting techniques. We were even able to simulate the actual reverberation of the unit to ensure the most realistic equipment ownership experience possible.
